- Business
- Club or Association
- Local Congregation
- NeighbOURhood Association
- Non-profit
How do “Member Organizations” serve?
There are potentially four major initiatives to help children and their families. Partners may participate in any or all of these projects. No minimum obligation is required. The initiatives are:
- Holiday Giving. Families receive gifts or holiday meals through N.O.A.H.H. friends and partners.
- Birthday Salutes. Children receive special cards and gift certificates on their birthdays.
- Self-Esteem Enhancement. Scholarships for summer camp, music lessons, art, drama, dance, and sports are available to children who show an interest in these areas. This program is designed to boost the children’s self-esteem by encouraging their talents and interests.
- Special Needs. Includes donations of furniture, bunk beds, cribs, diapers, etc. It may also include special services, e., home repair, moving, carpentry, etc. or emergency funds for rent, utilities, gas, etc.
How do Member Organizations get the requested items to the N.O.A.H.H. Partners?
In the event confidentiality is necessary, our NeighbOURhood Catalyst will make the appropriate decision with the NOAHH Partner. It is our primary desire, whenever possible, for the Volunteer to deliver the Need. Therefore we encourage Volunteers to store or deliver the resource/s to allow educators and County workers to focus upon their core responsibility. Our intentional desire is to foster neighbOURing relationships, whenever possible.
Member Organizations communicate the current needs (donations and tangible items) among the membership of their organization or association. The Member Organization may also encourage the purchase of items needed from stores, garage sales, or second hand stores. The Need may be posted on bulletin boards, in church bulletins, website, newsletters, or sent via e-mail to members while maintaining the confidentiality of the family in need.
Will N.O.A.H.H. require much time, energy, or paperwork on the part of the N.O.A.H.H. Partner or Membership Organization?
A N.O.A.H.H. representative within each Member Organization will act as a liaison between www.NOAHH.net and their organization. Representatives are responsible for sharing information about current needs . N.O.A.H.H. Partners (educators, county workers, etc) will be available to personalize needs at Member Organization meetings, upon request. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss current projects, ideas/concerns and success stories.
The website minimizes the necessity for NOAHH Partners and Member Organization to complete paperwork and reports. Regular communications will be offered to celebrate matches while presenting new options for consideration. The program needs ongoing feedback and ideas to continue to mature and develop. New and exciting ideas are always appreciated. Contact us.
